Club 33 and our "thousand dollar" prayers

We just spent my {Jenny} mid-winter break in so-cal. It was a fantastic week! On Saturday, we spent a fun day in Disneyland before we had the privilege of dining at the exclusive Club 33 by my parents' gracious one-time invitation. That was incredible and we were intentional about taking in every moment. Great photos, beautiful decor, and interesting history! We don't expect to get back there again so we enjoyed our evening. :)

Other great moments included a night spent with my wonderful grandma and aunt Judy, exploring caves and tide pools at 1,000 steps beach, hiking in crystal cove, seeing The Artist at the historic Lido, time at the dog beach and in Huntington catching up with my friend Kaytie, Brandon catching up with Jon, and LOTS of delicious food!

We definitely had a full week, but as we drive home we are more struck by conversations and words of wisdom we heard. Just one year ago during this break, the conversation about moving to Roseville began! So many incredible things have happened, so many big prayers answered since then.

We attended Saddleback church this past Sunday and heard a powerful message from Rick Warren. The thrust of the sermon was about how prayer can change our lives and bring blessings to fruition. "We treat prayer like a spare tire... prayer should be our steering wheel." -Rick Warren. He challenged us to pray boldly in order to ask for blessings that God has in store--to pray $1,000 prayers not 10¢ prayers!

So for the 2nd year in a row, we leave our vacation in so-cal feeling rejuvenated and challenged to pray big! Praying for direction in the search for our first home as well as business growth above and beyond our conservative goals. We are continuing to learn that God delights in exceeding our expectations when we are prayerful and faithful. (John 14-16)
